Our first MeetUp for 2017, held on the 20th of February went off with a bang at SUP46. With a deliberately creator-focussed programme we wanted to showcase tools for creators, by creators. We welcomed Niclas Molinder, founder of Auddly to talk about the tool he developed in order to give artists, songwriters and creators more control over their content. He also spoke about his new foundation 'Music Rights Awareness', founded along with Björn Ulvaeus and Max Martin. Of course, what is a STHLM Music City MeetUp without music? Upcoming half Swedish, half Australian musical duo, Ell & Hart, serenaded us with their dulcet tones and heavenly harmonies, singing their new single, Hotel of Hearts and their upcoming release, Riverbed. New local talent, Oscar Ögren also took to the STHLM Music City stage, singing two original songs to rapturous applause. Then came the time for the STHLM Music City team to make our big announcement that we will open 'STHLM Music House', a music tech hub on Djurgården right next door to and in partnership with Pop House. Scheduled for an April opening, we are seeking expressions of interest for house memberships. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and brand new faces in our community and we're proud to soon be able to provide you with a place of your own to create and collaborate, together cementing Stockholm as the global capital of music and tech.
